Presbytery Meeting Held at Punxsutawney Church

The Presbytery of Kiskiminetas met in the Punxsutawney Presbyterian Church on Tuesday, May 9, 2000. Evening worship was led by Presbytery Staff, the Revs. Wayne Yost and Erin Cox-Holmes. The Sacrament of Holy Communion was celebrated during the service.

Commissioning Service Held

A commissioning service was held for those persons elected to represent the Presbytery at the 211th General Assembly in Long Beach, California from June 24 to July 1. Moderator Esther Shane led the service to commission Elder Marie Bahn, Rev. Kent Holmes, alternate commissioners Rev. Bob Goossen and Elder Isabel Coyle, and Youth Advisory Delegate Emily Gress.

Presbytery Council Recommendation Approved

Rev. Mary Marks King presented the recommendation that the Kiskiminetas Presbytery join with the Pittsburgh Presbytery to invite the General Assembly to meet within the bounds of Pittsburgh Presbytery in 2009, realizing that this may obligate the Presbytery to expenses of $5,000 or more in 2009.
