WHAT IS AN EXECUTIVE PRESBYTER?
For Wayne the primary image of serving as an executive presbyter is that of the Biblical household steward. The household steward is one who is responsible for the administration of the household, ensuring the faithful operation and caring for the members of the household.

Wayne's Primary responsibilities are:
Presbytery administrator and head of staff
Primary staff to Presbytery committees and to the Presbytery Council
Liaison between the Presbytery, sessions, the Synod, the General Assembly and the general public
Oversee, through the Committee on Ministry, the pastoral care of the minister members and congregations of the Presbytery

PERSONAL
Wayne and his wife, Nancy, met at Pikeville College and have been married for thirty years. Nancy earned her Ph.D. in 1998 and is an assistant professor at the Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Wayne and Nancy have two children, a son Quinn and a daughter Chaya. For relaxation Wayne enjoys playing golf, creating Scandinavian chip carvings, or reading novels of espionage and political intrigue.

MOTTO
Wayne's motto for life is "We must live each day with the comfort and hope that 'today is the first day of the rest of our life,' and with faithful urgency because 'today might be the last day of our life.'"
