The Net-Gen

As Anyone who teaches kids knows, the times (and kids) have changed! As a beginning point, visit the links on the "Who Are These Kids? Understanding the Net-Gen" page

Sunday School is changing too! 21st Century Christian Education is shaping up to be an entirely different enterprise. This page will link you to the best cutting edge resources for children's education and Spiritual formation.

In a nutshell this is what the flap is all about. People (including kids) learn in multisensory, hands-on ways.  But Sunday School has traditionally been dominated by a fill-in-the-blanks, "sit still and listen to the teacher" approach.  Traditional Sunday School is collapsing under its own fossilized weight. But fresh winds of the spirit are blowing.  On this page we'll take a brief tour through the new terrain.

Read "Becoming a Child-Friendly Church" with tips on dealing with the Net Generation here. This is an article from Presbyterians Today by Erin Cox-Holmes.  (If you are from a church in the presbytery of Kiskiminetas, Erin Cox-Holmes, your Kiski Presbytery associate, can assist your church in "getting your Sunday School ready for Y2K.")
